Spray Polyurethane Foam

Upgrade Your Efficiency

One of the best ways to retrofit your existing home is to eliminate the uncontrolled flow of air and moisture that moves in and out of the structure.

Allowing unwanted outside air to enter and conditioned air to escape will increase your energy consumption and negatively impact your overall comfort. When retrofitting your home, consider first your greatest points of energy loss – attics and crawls spaces.

Sealing these areas with FOAM-LOK® spray foam insulation will greatly enhance your comfort and provide savings for the life of your home.

Attics typically consume 35% of the energy to heat and cool your home while crawlspaces consume 30%.

ATTIC APPLICATIONS BENEFITS

At one time or another, everyone has experienced the significant temperature variance between their living space and their attic. This creates excessive stress on the HVAC system and compromises energy efficiency and comfort. By applying FOAM-LOK spray foam to the underside of the roofline down to the top plate, the attic now becomes part of the conditioned space.

  • Eliminates unwanted air infiltration
  • Maintains interior conditioned temperatures
  • Protects the home from insects and rodents
  • Reduces energy consumption
  • Eliminates wind driven rain from entering the home
  • Unparalleled wind uplift protection

CRAWL SPACE APPLICATIONS BENEFITS

Traditional design of crawl spaces allows for air movement and moisture to collect beneath the home, which comes with many unintended consequences.

By applying FOAM-LOK spray foam between the floor joists, and directly to the subfloor sheathing, an air and moisture barrier is created, protecting the living space above.

  • Keeps floors warm in the winter
  • Eliminates unwanted air infiltration
  • Maintains interior conditioned temperature
  • Protects the home from insects and rodents
  • Eliminates unwanted collection of moisture
  • Significantly reduces the risk of mould and mildew

YOUR OPTIMAL SOLUTION FOR…

  • Up to 45% energy savings for the life of your home
  • Improved air quality
  • Improved indoor comfort
  • Eliminating hot and cold spots
  • Reducing the infiltration of pollutants, allergens, and other asthma triggers from entering the home
  • Insulation in all climate zones
  • Longevity, as FOAM-LOK lasts the life of the home
  • Minimising unwanted exterior noise

Spray polyurethane foam insulation is commonly used in one of two ways to insulate your attic space: vented attic and non-vented attic.

With a move towards Passive homes, non-vented attics are becoming the obvious choice for enhanced energy efficiency. Non-vented attic insulation is applied directly to the underside of the roof sheathing to insulate the entire attic from exterior temperatures.

FOAM-LOK spray foam is installed between the roof rafters, along the soffit areas and directly to all interior surfaces such as gable walls and dormers to produce an air tight building envelope making the attic a part of the conditioned space of the home.
